The Greatest Is Love: John 14:15-31

April 7, 2024 • Kerwin Dees • John 14:15–31

Jesus's final words to his disciples give us a glimpse of his top priorities. It should come as no surprise that Jesus talked to them about love. In John 14, he comes back to the greatest commandment: love God with everything you have and everything you are. This is a steadfast, obedient, all-in kind of love, exactly the kind of love Jesus demonstrated for us on the cross. We love him because he first loved us.

Psalm 19: Listening Completely

July 16, 2023 • Sam Hitchcock • Psalm 19

Psalm 19 reminds us that God is speaking to us all the time. In the world around us, the word before us, and the witness within us, God is communicating to us. Are we listening? Are we listening completely? Preacher: Sam Hitchcock

The Good Shepherd and the Kingdom of Love: John 10:7-18

March 26, 2023 • Heath Thomas • John 10:7–18

The great empires of history have one thing in common; they were built through force. But in the New Testament, Jesus claims to be doing something fundamentally different. He is bringing in a kingdom of love. In this passage, Jesus calls himself the good shepherd, the one who lays his life down for his sheep. Dr. Heath Thomas explains what Jesus meant with these words and how they still apply to our lives today.

From One Degree of Glory to Another: 2 Cor. 3:12-18

January 1, 2023 • Cole Feix • 2 Corinthians 3:12–18, Matthew 5:2–12

New Year's Day is a time of transition. What will the next year look like? Who do we want to be in 2023? As Paul points out in this passage, the key to transformation is tradeoffs. In this message, Pastor Cole Feix casts a vision for the new year and challenges us to make the tradeoffs that will lead to transformation.

The Lord of the Harvest: Luke 10:1-22

November 6, 2022 • Jason McMahan • Luke 10:1–22

In Luke 10, Jesus sends out 72 disciples to announce that the kingdom of God is near. The fields were ripe for harvest, and God was sending out his laborers. The same thing is true today. In this message, Jason McMahan tells his story of serving as a missionary in Mali and outlines God's plan to send his laborers to the ends of the earth. Jason is the Director of Global Outreach at Fellowship Bible Church in NWA.

Where Are You?

May 1, 2022 • Kerwin Dees • Genesis 3:8–10, John 11:25–27

We're often asked questions that linger with us and shape us spiritually. Jesus asked over three hundred questions in the New Testament. But the first question God asks in the Bible is one we all have to answer; "Where are you?" When God asked Adam and Eve where they were, he wasn't just talking about their location, he was talking about their hearts. Today, we still need to answer this question. Where are you spiritually? How are things in your heart?

The Resurrection and the Mission

April 24, 2022 • Cole Feix • Matthew 28:18–20, John 21:1–14

He is risen! Now, what do we do? The announcement of the resurrection comes with a mission. We have been called to go make disciples of all the nations, but as we see at the end of John it can be hard to know where to start. Jesus gathers the disciples, presents the mission, prepares his people, and provides for the journey. We're on the same mission today and Jesus is still with us and empowering us as we go.

Angels Long to Look

February 27, 2022 • Lance Ward • 1 Peter 1:3–12, Luke 7:28

God has never been clearer than he is with us. We have the Scriptures, the Spirit, and the knowledge of how to be reunited with God through Jesus Christ. In the church, we live in the greatest spiritual generation. Even the angels long to look into this wonderful salvation.

The Two Races of the Christian Life

February 13, 2022 • Terry Tramel • 2 Timothy 4:1–8, 2 Timothy 2:1–7

The Christian life is comprised of two races. The first is from life to death. We're all given a lifespan to trust in Christ, honor God, and do his will. The second race is a relay. We've been passed the baton by someone who shared the gospel with us, and now we have the joy and opportunity to pass our faith on to others. In this sermon, Dr. Terry Tramel talks about how to finish both races well.

Your Story Matters

February 6, 2022 • Cole Feix • Genesis 50:15–21, Revelation 12:11, Mark 5:1–20

God is telling a story in your life. What kind of story is it? In Christ, we are all part of the grand story of redemption; God summing up all things in Christ. In this sermon, Pastor Cole looks at the story of Joseph to see what kinds of stories God tells and how we can share the stories of God's grace in our lives.

Jesus Is Coming Back

January 30, 2022 • Cole Feix • 1 Corinthians 15:35–49, Revelation 7:9–17, 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18

Christians believe that Jesus is coming back again, that those who have died will be raised, and everyone who trusts in him will be with him forever. As Paul encouraged the church in Thessalonica, this means we grieve, but not without hope. In this sermon, Pastor Cole looks at 5 aspects of the second coming and what life will be like after Jesus returns.

God Hears Your Prayers

January 23, 2022 • Cole Feix • Luke 18:1–14, Revelation 8:1–4

If prayer is such an essential part of the Christian life, why is it so difficult? In Luke 18, Jesus tells two parables to encourage us to pray, and he starts with the attitudes we bring to prayer: persistence and dependence. In this sermon, Pastor Cole continues our series 5 Truths to Build Your Life on with easy ways to improve your time in prayer.

Your Sins Are Forgiven

January 16, 2022 • Cole Feix • Jeremiah 31:18–20, Luke 15:11–32

The parable of the prodigal son is one of the greatest stories of all time. It's proof that anyone can be forgiven, that there is more than one way to be estranged from God, and that the father is waiting with open arms to forgive and restore. Forgiveness is open to all but it is not free; it cost the Son of God his life. Because he is risen, we know that any sin can be forgiven and any sinner can be welcomed back into the family of God.

The Bible Is God's Word

January 9, 2022 • Cole Feix • 2 Peter 1:16–21, 2 Timothy 3:16–17

Jesus said, "Anybody who hears these words of mine and does them is like a man who builds his house on the rock." God's words are worth building our lives on. His word is true, life-giving, and the guiding voice in our life. This week Pastor Cole looks at what the Bible says about itself, what it means for God's word to be true, and how to build our lives on the Scriptures.
