This week we begin a Summer series entitled “The Bible #nofilter.” We are going to look to God’s Word as we try to answer a number of questions that we are faced with today. Some of these questions affect us personally, others are questions that we are being asked to respond to as the church. As the title indicates, we will be answering these questions without filters. The answers will not be filtered by our personal experience, our own desires, or the current culture we find ourselves in, but simply God’s truth as revealed to us through His Word. This week we begin with the Bible itself and why we consider it our standard for faith and practice. We also have the privilege of participating in baptism at the beginning of our 9:30 Engage worship service this week . Arrive early this week as you will not want to miss being a part of these testimonies. See you Sunday. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Heaven or Else...

C.S. Lewis had this to say about the doctrine of Hell, “There is no doctrine which I would willingly remove from Christianity than this (Hell) if it lay in my power. But it has full support of scripture and, especially, of our Lord’s own words; it has always been held by Christendom, and has the support of reason.” We continue this week in our series “The Bible #nofilter” and you guessed it, we are focusing in on a doctrine of the church that does not receive rave reviews in our culture today. We will take a look at what the Bible has to say about Hell.
The Most Important Thing a Father Can Do

As we celebrate Dad this week we will continue in our series, “The Bible #nofilter”. We will focus in on God’s design and definition for marriage with a special emphasis on the role of husbands and fathers. There is little doubt that God’s design for marriage is under attack today on many fronts. This week we will consider why this original design for marriage is so important and how defending it directly impacts our ability to effectively communicate the gospel.
How About Some Respect
June 10, 2018 • June 10, 2018 • Pastor Peter Van Dyke
One area where there seems to be a big change in this world, and not for the better, is in the respect that people show for and towards one another. I am of the conviction that respect is an important attribute in living out a Christ-centered life. The Bible has much to say about how we are to respect others in our words, attitude and actions because life is precious and every human being is important to God. This Sunday we will open God’s Word to see what the Bible has to say about the way God wants us to respect others. Remember, respecting others is not an option for the Christian, it’s a requirement. Read Ephesians 4: 29-32 in preparation for your Sunday worship.
