We will look at One Words, one at a time in this sermon series. These are Greek or Hebrew Biblical words that are beautiful and significant; words like Shalom, Maranatha and Koinonia. First in the series is the word "Selah". It is found 71 times in the Psalms and has a beautiful basic meaning: It means Pause and weighs the truth of what you have just heard. Let's pause and be still and Know that He is God.

We will be looking at two letters written to the church in Thessaloniki. Paul explains the significance of the Lord coming and how it can encourage our faith.

How do you address God? Most of us follow Jesus' invitation to address God as our Heavenly Father; which, when you think about it is an incredible privilege. But at other times God has declared His actual name and asked His people to know Him and address Him by that name. This Sunday we will look at a name that God called Himself. It's possible that knowing the meaning of this "One Word" name of God and will cause us to approach Him differently and respond to Him with more beauty.
