Part 1 | Garden of Eden

Genesis 3:6-24

May 16, 2021 • Pastor Marty

In the Children's Bible Story it says there was only one rule in the Garden of Eden: “Don’t eat the fruit on that tree.” God told them; “Because if you do you’ll think you know everything and you’ll stop trusting me. And then death and sadness and tears will come.” In Romans 5 Paul is speaking to adults and clearly delineates the grave consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience. We need to understand these consequences because they touch us at a core level as well as indicate answers some of the big questions in life.

Part 11 | The Offense of the Tower Builders

August 1, 2021 • Pastor Marty Scales • Genesis 3—11

Genesis 3-11 follow the advance of sin from the initial disobedience and rebellion of Eve and Adam, through the fratricide of Cain to the all-pervasive moral corruption prior to the flood. Now, after the flood, the grandchildren of Noah desire to build a tower stairway to heaven, taking another great step of offense against God. This sunday we are looking at the tower builders offense; and will find that they are institutionalizing paganism, purposely distorting and diluting the concept of who God really is. This trend continues to this day.

Part 10 | More Than a Miracle Worker

July 25, 2021 • Zakk Uhler

Jesus takes a few loaves of bread and a couple of fish and multiplies them to feed a crowd of thousands. Many remember this account as one of the first things they learned about Jesus, but there is a depth to what was happening at this moment that is not often investigated. Shortly after this miracle took place Jesus told the people what they truly needed was much more than food. This became a decisive moment as to whether or not the crowd would continue following Him and is a decisive moment for us as well.

Part 9 | Naaman's Cure

July 18, 2021 • Pastor Marty Scales

The Story of Naaman coming from Syria to Israel seeking healing from his leprosy from a prophet (Elisha) of Israel is a great Children's Bible Story because he gets healed after being angry at the method of healing he was instructed to follow. But the story is much more than this, it's a powerful, life-changing story of grace and redemption that applies to us today. Read it in preparation for Sunday: 2 Kings 5.
