Part 12 | The House on the Rock

March 27, 2022 • Pastor Travis Marsh • Matthew 7:24–27

This Sunday we conclude our series “The Sermon on the Mount”. Jesus’ sermon ends with one of the most recognized and challenging stories written. There was a man who build his house on a firm foundation and one who built his house with no foundation. When the trials of life came one house stood and the other house fell. Jesus is pointing out that we need a firm foundation if we are going to stand up against the trials of this world. Join us this Sunday as we learn together how to form a firm foundation able to withstand the storms and challenges of life.

Part 11 | The Narrow Gate

March 20, 2022 • Pastor Marty • Matthew 7:13–22

In our passage this coming Sunday Jesus uses several strong images to teach a distressing reality: Our lives lead somewhere; and that ultimate somewhere is before the judgment seat of Christ. There we will be either welcomed by Jesus, or sent away. Jesus teaches that it comes down to our choice in this life of one of two paths; his narrow, hard path or, the wide, easy path which most choose. Let's look again at our choice of gate and pathway and how we might be assured that we will be known by Jesus on that judgment day.

Part 10 | Judging Others

March 13, 2022 • Zakk Uhler • Matthew 7:1–11

Judging Others | Matthew 7:1-11 Judging other people seems to come as naturally to most of us as breathing does. When we feel afraid, threatened, or annoyed, we can easily find ourselves immediately criticizing others in our hearts for thinking, believing, or behaving differently than we do. In Matthew 7:1-11, Jesus teaches us how to instead examine ourselves, love our neighbor, and give kind feedback to others that is loving and beneficial.
