The Pastor Search Committee is excited to introduce Justin Buchanan as our Pastoral Candidate for Senior Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. Sunday, October 15, Justin Buchanan, will preach at Calvary North at 9:30 AM and at Calvary Beaumont at 11:00 AM. All members of Calvary are invited to attend either of the worship services on Sunday to hear our candidate preach. Sunday evening at 6:00 PM, we will all gather in the worship center of Calvary Beaumont to hear him speak again. The church will then enter into a Special Called Business meeting for members to vote on the recommendation by the Pastor Search Committee to call Justin Buchanan as Calvary's Senior Pastor. Justin has served in Christian ministry for more than twenty years. He has been honored to serve churches in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Texas in various positions. Among those positions he has been a children's minister, student pastor, church planter and lead pastor. He also served on the faculty of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for three years. Additionally, Justin enjoys writing and is the author of two books, Parenting in the Mission of God and Guys and Lies, and has contributed chapters to a few additional works. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in applied theology. He and his beautiful bride, Sarah, have been married for twenty years and are the parents of five fantastic sons.
