Acts 11:19-30

Names are important - they can have power over us. “The Governor Dummer Academy” was named after the governor of the Massachusetts Territory in 1720. The name has since been the source of mockery, such as, “Students who come in, come out ‘Dummer.”They did change the name to Governor's Academy.
"And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians." (Acts 11:26) What a great thing to be called - "a little Christ" because they reminded others of Jesus. What would people call you based on how you act?

One of the accusations of the early church is found in Acts 17:6, "These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also." We can only do what the early church did as we work together, each person doing their part. -Pastor Ken
