Calvary Covid Update

CDC Policy Change • May 16, 2021

As many of you know, the CDC has changed their policy on masks for individuals who are fully vaccinated. The elders of our church have approved a change in our policy regarding masks at Calvary Chapel effective immediately. Wearing masks will be optional while attending services here at Calvary Chapel similar to our policy last summer. The leadership of the church will not be verifying individuals vaccination status. We recognize that there are strong feelings on both sides of this issue. This may seem like a radical change over our previous policy, but we did not have the current direction from the CDC which has been adopted by the NYS Department of Health. The data according to the CDC indicates that this change is appropriate and reasonable. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, feel free to contact one of our pastors or elders. If there is sufficient interest in an additional Sunday service for masks only, pastors and elders would be willing to participate so that everyone can worship and feel comfortable. Please continue to pray for our nation, community, our church, and our church leadership. Blessings! Pastor Ken Calvary Chapel Syracuse

Good Friday 2021

April 2, 2021 • Dr. Ken Lang

It's hard to imagine how Good Friday can be called "good" when Christ was crucified. Imagine that! Yet, this horrific act, possibly the greatest evil ever committed, murdering God, produced the greatest good in history - the salvation of man from sin. Therefore, our only response is to submit to Christ and follow him. Instead of washing our hands, let's wash others feet like Christ. - Pastor Ken
