Acts 27:1-26

Friday Evening Service

November 9, 2018

"'Slow headway, with great difficulty.' That’s what it is like going through
life apart from God’s will. We think we have a
good plan, a good course to sail, but it doesn’t
turn out that way at all. Just as happened
here, the winds of life won’t allow us to hold
the course we have charted for ourselves. One
thing we have learned from the Book of Acts
is that nothing can stop us when we are in
God’s will, but outside of God’s will, things are
VERY difficult. We can all avoid lots of pain by
purposing in our hearts to find and remain in
God’s will."

More from Acts 2017

Acts 1:1-8

August 4, 2017

Pastor Ron: "This is an important, indispensable book. Without it none of the books that follow would make much sense. We would not, for example, know who Paul was! Without this book the Apostle Paul's writings, nearly two-thirds of the NT, would be meaningless! We would have the gospels and a bunch of other stuff we could not understand."

Acts 1:9-26

August 11, 2017

Pastor Ron: "If you do not believe in a bodily, physical resurrection and return of Jesus, you are not saved! This is an essential of the faith; there is no room for disagreement or opinion on this issue."

Acts 2:1-13

August 18, 2017

Pastor Ron: "We can do nothing good without power from God. God has given His burning-Spirit to all who are His, and many of us are in the practice of snuffing out the fire every day! We snuff out the fire of God by disobedience, by unwillingness to surrender our will to His, and through compromise with the world."
