Revelation 2:8-11

The Church of Smyrna was a church of suffering and persecution. They were persecuted for their love of Christ. A question us Christians all must ask, is are you prepared to suffer for the Gospel? If you hold to the claims of the Gospel you will face opposition at some level. Yet, God is still with us and He knows what we will suffer. A promise that we can hold on to is that He is still sovereign and we don't have to fear.
