Love is eternal. While many other gifts and practices are for life now, they will end when Jesus returns. But the ability to receive love and give love will only increase as Jesus returns and His people will fully see and experience neverending love.

The Corinthians were eager for gifts of the Spirit. Paul reminds them that when people gather together in church, the gifts are to be used to build up each other and benefit the people there. Church should be a place where people participate and bless others while receiving blessings.
