Life to the Full
November 27, 2022 • Dr. Nicholas Leadbeater
Deep down, we all ask the question, “how can I live life to the full?” The answer is not getting more stuff, the right job, the right friends, or just having things go our way. In what at the outset seems like a strange story about sheep and shepherds, Jesus gives us the answer to our question – Life to the full comes when we’re living our life with Him at the center. He tells us that He is the Good Shepherd, that we should recognize His voice, that He will protect us and direct us, and that He lays down His life for us. We are going to look at the story He tells and how He calls us into a fresh relationship with Him. When we do, we can fully understand what He means by saying “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

First Love
April 3, 2022 • Bill LaMorey • Revelation 2:1–7
When we neglect loving God in our lives it causes great damage to our inner world and the world around us. In this message we consider Jesus' words about how we can assess this in ourselves and turn back to our first love if we've gone astray.
Investing in the Church
February 13, 2022 • Bill LaMorey • Matthew 16:16–20
What is Calvary going to be about in 2022? Pastor Bill continues from last week’s message about "Investing in Jesus" to consider "Investing in Church" and what it really means to be a part of a church and how that impacts you, the church, the community and the world at large.
Living on a Prayer
January 16, 2022 • Dr. Nicholas Leadbeater • Genesis 18, Genesis 22, James 5
In this message, we look at how Abraham intercedes with God for the city of Sodom. From this, we learn three things about prayer. The first is that we have to be present; to show up. We need to be in the pattern of praying regularly and consistently. Next we need to bring our petitions to God; our needs, the needs of others, our requests, and our dreams. God is interested in the big things and the little things in our lives. Undergirding our prayers, we need to position ourselves correctly; submitting to God's will for our lives. By being open to God's will for our lives, we will often experience more that we could ever imagine, and God will transform us along the way.
Future You and a Bowl of Stew
December 26, 2021 • Dr. Nicholas Leadbeater • Genesis 25:27–34, Hebrews 12:1–2
Esau sold his birthright to his brother Jacob for a bowl of stew. He sacrificed his God-given potential and his future hopes and dreams for short-term satisfaction. In this message, we look at this cautionary story and see how easy it is for us to do the same. As we go in to 2022, we need to ask ourselves what our "bowl of stew" is. Once we have identified it, by leaning in to God's vision for our lives and focusing our eyes on Jesus as a role-model, we can avoid doing the same thing as Esau.
