At the same time as Jesus was on trial before His enemies, Peter was going through his own kind of trial... would he stand up for Jesus, or would he falter and deny Him. In our passage today, we learn some important things about what leads us to deny Jesus in the first place, how to avoid it. But most importantly we learn how God deals with us when we do fail.
Even when we do sin and deny Christ, God’s not done with us. He will restore us if we turn back to Him in genuine love and obedience.
