Joshua Station

July 15, 12:00pm - July 18, 2026 7:15pm

Our goal is to meet the needs of Joshua Station, a Transitional Housing Community in Downtown Denver by sprucing a Room for a new family, serving a weekly community dinner, and hosting a fun family activity. We will be meeting physical needs, while also continuing to build relationships with the residents and staff at Joshua Station.

Who?

Students who have completed 6th grade through WoW alumni. There is a place for everyone to serve.

What Students Will Do

● Paint and prepare a room (Days 1–2)

● Serve a community dinner (~70 residents)

● Set up and host Family Fun Night with outdoor movie

● Move in furniture and decorate the room

● Celebrate together at Elitch Gardens (Day 4)

Daily Logistics: We will meet each morning in Castle Rock and travel together and return home each evening (no overnight stay). In addition to our serving opportunities we will have daily worship and devotionals and some downtime for building relationships.

What to Bring

● Water bottle, lunch, and snacks (daily)

● Paint clothes (Wed–Fri)

● Change of clothes for serving dinner(Thurs) / movie night (Fri)

● Comfortable clothes, sunscreen, swimsuit (Saturday)

Cost & Fundraising Estimated total group project cost: $4,500. Covers supplies, meals, outreach events, t-shirts, Elitch Gardens, and transportation. We are asking each teenager who comes to commit to raising $100 and we hope to offset the remainder of the cost of the project by asking families to help by donating items, and raising additional support from families, neighbors, friends and church members. Be on the lookout for the donation opportunities coming soon!
