In Acts 19 Paul makes his second visit to Ephesus. Upon arriving he encounters 12 disciples of John the Baptist, through a series of questions and answers Paul leads these disciples to become disciples of Jesus Christ. These disciples and many others we will learn about will become the building blocks of the church of Ephesus.
