November 21, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach
May your Thanksgiving be filled with gratitude and grace, remembering the God who gives us life, breath and the number of our days.
Upon THIS rock I will build My Church!

Do you need a sign?
October 4, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 16:4
Jesus said that an evil and adulteress generation seeks after a sign. He rebuked the Sadducees because, even though they had already seen many signs, they were insisting on another one. If you do not want to be converted, a sign will not make a difference. We can trust Jesus based on what He has already done. We cannot and should not want to try and make Him jump through hoops for our entertainment or unbelief.
Satan Loves Religion
September 15, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 14:22–36
We think that there is a checklist to get into heaven. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Satan loves when we think our good works bring us closer to righteousness and glory. It just doesn't work that way. Religion brings bondage and a deceptive righteousness that defiles us. Our hearts are deceitfully wicked. Religion accommodates that!
Stretching & Growing
September 7, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 14:28–30
When a newborn babe cries, Mom gives him milk. As he grows, he learns how to go to the refrigerator to get it himself. So is life in Christ. As we grow, God allows us to go through some growing pains, in order that we learn how to trust Him in the long haul. Peter fully trusted Jesus when he got out of that boat and began to walk on the water, and he quickly began to doubt and therefore sink. Jesus didn't make Peter feel stupid, or berate him. He held out his hand to help him and He does the same for us as we grow in grace. Will you step out on the water and trust?
Are you a Man pleaser or a God pleaser?
August 23, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 10:28
"And do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Believe
August 16, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 13:52–58
God used Pontius Pilate to utter a prophetic word. He used a donkey to speak to Balaam. God can use anyone or anything to speak through. When we decide how we think God can speak to us, then we miss opportunities and blessings. Yes, we must test the spirit to see if it is from God, but we must not despise a prophetic utterance because it came from someone or something unexpected. Jesus was dismissed in His own hometown because they could not believe that the one that they saw grow up among his brothers and sisters, the son of a carpenter, could actually be the Messiah. They missed it!
"Wheat & Tares"
August 10, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 13:24–27
There will always be imposters in the church...until Jesus separates the wheat from the tares. We need to be about the soul saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, even as others are drawing tens of thousands by the allure of giving to get. God is not Santa, and we are to be about His business, not ensuring our own comfort. There are still many POW's here on earth. Let's focus on the Gospel and watch what God does with our willingness to die to self.
How will you respond?
July 12, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach
When Jonah preached "40 days and destruction!", the Ninevites repented. When Jesus was resurrected from the dead, that generation did not! How will you respond to the call of Jesus?
Are You for Me or Against Me?
July 3, 2023 • Pastor Don Roach • Matthew 12:30
Jesus said, "If you are not for Me, you are against me." Have you ever considered that no decision for Jesus is a decision against Him?
God Resists the Proud!
June 14, 2023
Jesus is the antidote. Can you admit that you are sick? The Bible teaches that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. You will never intellectualize your way to heaven. Jesus said that He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father, but through Him. Will you humble yourself and admit that as a finite being, you cannot know an infinite God unless He reveals Himself to you? Jesus said, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Why would anyone say no to so great a salvation?
Is knowing the truth a blessing or a curse?
June 6, 2023
When we know what God's Word teaches and choose to white out the things that don't fit our lifestyle, it can become a real curse in our lives. Better to live in the light, as He is in the light and in His blessings as a result.
You Know That There Is More to Life!
May 31, 2023
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Isaiah 1:18
The Paradox of Discipleship
May 27, 2023
True discipleship is a Paradox. We find our lives, by losing it. We live by dying. In order to experience resurrection power, we must take us our cross and follow Jesus. Will you count the cost and do it His way? Or will you continue to insist on doing it your way?
