Pastor Troy came to faith in Christ when he was 6 years old. After moving to California in High School, he attended Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, where he met his wife, Rebecca. He began full-time ministry in 1988 when he served with his wife in Sydney, Australia as a Young Adults Pastor. In 1990, Troy returned to the States and became a staff member at Calvary Chapel Vista in Southern California as Youth and Missions Pastor. Soon after, he moved from California to plant Calvary Chapel Lynchburg with his family in 1994. They have three grown children and the joy of several grandchildren.

After pastoring CC Lynchburg for over 27 years, he is dedicated to teaching verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter through the entire bible. He is on his fourth time teaching through the entire bible at the church.
