Something more than forgiveness… "Restoration" - John 21

As we are coming out of Easter, we have been reminded what the Lord has done for us. We also saw where the flesh is often weak. While Jesus was going through the mock trials, the torture and his eventual death his followers had left him. He had been denied and abandoned by his friends and followers. Peter was one of those who had told Jesus just hours before his arrest that he (Peter) would never leave him.

In Mark 14:"29, Peter said to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not.” 30 And Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But he said emphatically, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same.

Have you ever blown it so badly that you thought you had no chance to fix it? I think most of us have. We have promised God we will never do something again or that if given the opportunity we will do the right thing next time, only to fail. After we have failed God, what next? In this message we work through the aftermath of failure.
