I have been drawn to the passage in Luke 7:36-50. We will see the contrast between a warm heart filled with love and affection as opposed to an icy, religious heart that never feels the depth of sin, nor the height of love.

How do I learn to love more? Why am I unable to express love to Jesus and others? Is my heart an icy place, or am I filled with the warmth of affectionate love for Jesus?

A Christmas Communion

"Have you been.....?" - John 1:10-13 With Christmas just days away, how would you finish my question? Have you been.....naughty or nice? Have you been....baking lots of cookies, wrapping lots of gifts, or sending lots of cards? Of course, all these may be true but they are not the completion of my question. Since we started the Gospel of John on Wednesday nights, and the Gospel of John was central to the brief Christmas concert message, I think we should keep going with the next section -- verses 10-13! In the context of Sunday's communion, we will look at a few simple verses that may rock your world. For some, this will be easy and familiar territory.
