Take Up Your Cross

June 12, 2024 • Pastor Dave Blaha • Luke 14:25–35

Just over 80 years ago, men volunteered to embark on what General Eisenhower called the "Great Crusade." This photograph, taken on the evening of June 5 1944, is of the general speaking with platoon leader Wallace Strobel, age 22, and platoon leader in the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. He was one of many thousands who would jump that night into occupied France ahead of the Normandy beach landings to take place the next morning. General Eisenhower finished his official order with the following: "Let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking." What does this have to do with Matthew 10:34-39? The only way to know is to view this evening and find out! Dave

What Jesus Offers

May 5, 2024 • Pastor Dave Blaha

Have you ever visited a restaurant and enjoyed bottomless fries? If you haven't, it is a must! This is a menu item in which they will bring you all the fries your heart desires. (or until it clogs up) In the book of John, Jesus uses the limited resources of food and water to contrast what the world has to offer as compared to what He has to offer. Do you ever feel that what Jesus has to offer seems to be unreachable? Does it ever seem that others have it better in that regard? If so, Jesus has answers for you. Pastor Dave

The Doctor is ALWAYS In!

April 3, 2024 • Pastor Dave Blaha • Proverbs 2:6

The doctor is ALWAYS in! Did you grow up a fan of Peanuts? Reflections of a simpler time, but I digress... Nowadays, got a question?...just google it. But then where does that information come from? Even "reliable" sources are now corrupted by our modern, sometimes twisted ideologies, not built upon any Godly framework whatsoever. Thankfully, we have a Good Father who loves to give good gifts, including wisdom itself. For the Lord gives wisdom, from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6 Join your brothers and sisters tonight as we look once again into the practicalities of our daily walk with Jesus, knowing full well that every day He is Risen!

Dave Blaha - Associate Pastor “Knowing and accepting Christ has given me a clarity and peace I never thought was possible and He has transformed my life in many seen and unseen ways. God has always given me a deep desire to teach Truth to older youth, and there is no more fundamental Truth than Christ. Sharing with youth that a person can live a happy and exciting life under Grace, love the Lord and other people, and obey His commandments without being legalistic... there is no greater joy.”

Good Friday 2023

April 7, 2023 • Dave Blaha

Guest Speakers: Associate Pastor Dave Blaha I wish I knew then what I know now. Have you ever uttered those words? Of course you have! There is value in thinking about such things, but does the rearview mirror sometimes seem clearer than what God has for you now and ahead? The Passion walk of Jesus and His closest friends has something to tell us about this. Tonight we will gather together to worship, and in communion remember what is far more important and impactful in your life than wherever you have been or whatever you have done.

Is God Speaking to You?

August 18, 2021 • Dave Blaha • 1 Corinthians 2:12

No doubt you have seen dogs stop and tilt their heads at new and strange sounds. Maybe its just me, but I find it fascinating and a little amusing as well. Some of you might say its cute, but I'm not claiming that, for the record! Have you ever been stopped in your tracks, wondering if something you are sensing is the Lord speaking? If you are a believer, probably so, and more than just a few times. The Spirit of God is the "rubber meets the road' touch point with our Father ... "What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so we may understand what God has freely given us." 1 Corinthians 2:12 Is God moving in your heart, or is it just your deceitful heart fooling you? Even Paul, who wrote the above, didn't trust himself! Come on out tonight and we can see together what the Lord has to say about this.
