As Pastor Phil moves through Chapter 4 of Galatians, we will explore what Paul meant about us being sons (and daughters), and heirs of God through Christ. Once we have been adopted by God into His family through Christ, He becomes our 'Abba' Father. In verse 9 Paul challenges the hearer—are you going to choose the lesser when God has given you the best? Why would you put yourself under bondage, when He has given you true freedom through Christ!?

Paul had travelled through Asia Minor, and when he arrived in Galatia he realized they had already fallen away from the teachings of the Gospel of grace. The Judaizers were a group of Jews who tried to put the Church back under the Law by telling people it was necessary for them to keep the Law of Moses before exercising faith in Jesus for salvation. Jesus came to set us free from sin and the Law...
