I Love That Verse
Luke 13:6–9
July 28, 2019 • Stephen Roy
Guest Stephen Roy talks about Luke 13:6-9, a story about a fig tree and a vinedresser who tends the plant. We all need a vinedresser, a gardener who will journey with us and teach us how to follow Christ. We must become fruit-bearing trees through the power of the Gospel and the mentoring of other believers. Are you tending someone? Is someone tending to your spiritual growth? Stephen Roy serves in Hamilton as a missionary with SIM, working with immigrant communities from South Asian backgrounds sharing with them the love of Christ.
What Do I Do When Fear Kicks In?
July 14, 2019 • Pastor Aaron Groat
"Do not be afraid for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Fear, anxiety, and worry are experiences that are common to all of us, and it is not surprising that there are so many verses in the Bible that remind us to not be afraid. If we are not reminding ourselves daily about what God says about fear, then we are missing the full picture. In this series, we're asking our speakers to talk about a verse they love and the context it is found. We know you'll appreciate this series, and find a few new verses that you too will love.
