A time giving thanks to God for his goodness this year.
Are we in the place where we can rest in Father’s finished work? Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. Some of us have never known hardship so it will be difficult as we face the “skinny cows”. We want to see that our people are fully trusting in our faithful God! How separate are we from the world? Are we able to rejoice in persecution? Are we able to trust God even when we don’t think He is working the way we think He should? We should all be able to testify of trusting God through difficult times in our lives. This reminds us that God has been faithful and will continue to do so until the end if we will trust Him. We don’t need to be anxious about our careers, wealth, ease, politics, family, ministry, etc. God has it under control if we will trust Him and walk in His ways!

We need to step out and do what God tells us to. He will give us the strength and grace to obey. It is supernatural to love others. What a blessing to walk in peace in this troubled world. We need the same supernatural enabling for the fruit of the Spirit as the gifts of the Spirit. We want our folks to see that the fruit of the Spirit is godly character. This enabling comes as we choose to submit to Father. Love is a choice not a feeling. We choose to believe the Word of God rather than our fear. We choose to bear long with others. We choose to humble ourselves and be kind and gentle. We choose to deny ourselves and do things God’s way. We believe the Word and act on it in faith.
