A Practical Word About Loving God

Romans 12

March 3, 2024 • Beau Ouellette • Mark 12:28–34, 1 Peter 2:1–5, 1 Corinthians 12:4–11, 1 Corinthians 13, Philippians 2:1–11

In Romans 12 Paul expounds on the greatest of commandments in the Bible. Love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love others as yourself. If you ever have wondered what it looks like to live in this way, then this is the Chapter to read daily. God’s mercy moves in the believer to give his entire life to God. Our lives are a living sacrifice, an offering totally devoted to the Lord, in response to His mercy on us.. The grace of faith helps us to think soberly about ourselves and how we can help others grow in Christ. Our gifts are just that! A gift from God to which we cannot boast. The Spirit through Paul gives us a detailed look of what our love should look like in the Church and with those outside of the Church. Do we share this kind of life that Christ lived? One dedicated to God and the love of others?

1. Understanding God’s mercy leads to an intimate dedication & devotion of mind, body and soul (all of us).
