Course Overview

Effective communication is more than speaking well — it’s about connecting deeply, caring compassionately, and collaborating wisely. The Thriving Communication program empowers participants to strengthen emotional intelligence, build psychological safety, and communicate with authenticity and confidence in every area of life and work.

Rooted in Biblical teaching and supported by neuroscience and the psychology of human flourishing, this transformational two-day experience helps individuals, families, and teams move beyond surface-level interaction into meaningful, trust-building dialogue.

What You’ll Experience:

Over two immersive days, you’ll explore four powerful pillars that lead to thriving relationships and workplaces:

Care Compassionately – Strengthen your own wellness and self-awareness through the 8 Pillars of Wellness and the Medicine Wheel. Learn to care for yourself so you can truly care for others.

Create Safety – Discover how to use neuroscience to build trust, apply the SCARF Model, and cultivate strengths-based relationships where people feel seen, valued, and secure.

Connect Deeply – Practice the five strategies of thriving connection — listening, empathy, and better questioning — to build authentic relationships that lead to transformation.

Collaborate Wisely – Experience the power of community through the 7 Sacred Teachings and learn to navigate conflict with wisdom, compassion, and cultural awareness.

This course is for anyone in our church community who desires to grow in how they connect, communicate, and care for others, including:

- Ministry leaders, volunteers, pastors, and small-group leaders who want to strengthen relational and communication skills.

- Teams serving within the church who desire healthier collaboration, stronger unity, and a more life-giving culture.

- Individuals who want to grow in Christ-like communication, deepen relationships, and develop greater self-awareness, empathy, and understanding in everyday life.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will gain practical skills and insights to communicate more effectively, build stronger relationships, and foster healthier, more connected environments at work and in everyday life.
