Day 59 - Read Leviticus 15-16

June 21, 2024 • Leviticus 15—16

God gave Moses and Aaron laws for men with bodily discharge (a sign of a sexual disease). Following the cleansing process, the unclean man was to provide a sin offering and a burnt offering. God gave instruction for the women who experienced discharge from disease and from her menstrual cycle. The woman was to provide a sin offering and a burnt offering. Aaron was commanded to make atonement for himself, for the priests, for the people, for the holy sanctuary, for the altar, and for the tent of meeting. God caused a cloud over the mercy seat to protect Aaron while he was presenting the sacrifice at the altar.

Day 72 - Read Numbers 10-11

God commanded Moses to make two silver trumpets to call the heads of the tribes, to all the people to gather, to call the people to war, and to remind the people of what God had done. The cloud was lifted from over the tabernacle and Israel set out in an orderly fashion. Moses trusted the Lord to guide, protect, and provide for them. The people began complaining because they had no meat. Moses cried out to God for help leading the people. God appointed seventy elders among the people to assist Moses. God provided qual in great number to the people, but His anger burned against them. He sent a plague and struck those down who had coveted meat even though God had provided food for them.

Day 71 - Read Numbers 8-9

The Levites were cleansed, the people of Israel laid their hands on them, sacrifices were given for sin, and they were separated as instructed. The Levites worked in the service of the tent of meeting until the age of fifty, then they ministered to their brothers by keeping guard at the tent of meeting. God commanded Israel to keep the Passover according to His instructions. He gave instruction for those who were unclean on the day of celebration and for those who were on long journeys. God placed a cloud over the tabernacle. Israel remained when the cloud remained, and they journeyed when the cloud was lifted.

Day 70 - Read Numbers 7

July 2, 2024 • Numbers 7

When the tabernacle was built, set apart for service, and cleansed, the leaders of Israel brought offerings to be given to the Lord’s service. God commanded Moses to give the offerings to the Levites for the service of the tent of meeting. Offerings were given by each leader of Israel for the anointing of the altar. One leader offered his tribe’s offering each day. When Moses went to the altar after it was anointed, he heard God speak to him from the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony.
