2 John, 3 John, Jude

John wrote his second letter to rejoice in a fellow believer’s faithfulness and the passing of her faith to her children. He challenged the reader to love others by walking according to the commands of Christ. He warned of deceivers of the faith. He hoped to visit face to face with her soon. John wrote his third letter to a fellow believer named Gaius. He warned about the evil doings of Diotrephes. John hoped to visit Gaius soon and confront the evil deeds of false teachers. Jude wrote to encourage Gentile believers to remain faithful to the gospel and to refute false teachers. He warned them of the sinful desires of some in the church. He encouraged readers to keep in the love of God, show mercy, and hate sin.
