We begin our study of Gospel Reconciliation with an exploration of Genesis 4 and
the very first sin of hatred against neighbor. In this account, we see the breakdown
of relationship with God, the breakdown of relationship among image bearers, and
what God does about it. Out of the shadows of a dark passage come glorious rays of
promise: God is reconciling the world to Himself.

Ultimate Reconciliation

The sorrows of this world will not last forever. One day Christians will be in the presence of all believers across all time and God himself will be among them. He will make all of the sad things untrue and shepherd them in perfect relationship with Him. That’s what the Bible says Heaven will be like. Live today with that day in mind.
How the Gospel Reconciles us to One Another

Because Christians are reconciled to God by the love of Jesus, they must persuade others to know and love him too. 2 Corinthians 5:10-15 provides us the reason we are to persuade, the strength to persuade and the extent of those whom we are to persuade. The text gives us three very practical takeaways: A Christian is safe with God. Because Christians are safe with God they are responsible to love their neighbors. To love their neighbors, they must be moved by the love of Christ.
