Welcome to Bunbury church camp (Nov. 15-17)

[ARRIVAL TIME on Friday = from 4pm]

Hi church campers,

We look forward to a lovely relaxed, rejuvenating, recreational, and a time of worship, fellowship and bonding as a church at camp Mornington this weekend.

What to bring:

    •    BYO bedding & toiletries/towel (Those staying in the chalet/cabins, there is limited bedding on the queen size mattresses only. It’s safe to bring your own in case).

    •    BYO breakfasts for Sabbath and Sunday mornings (there is a cool room in the kitchen/dining area for you to store any refrigerated foods - please label yours with your name in a box).

    •    BYO musical instruments to join in for worship times and music jams during free time over the weekend.

    •    BYO picnic chairs for baptismal service by the camp lake on Sabbath afternoon at 4pm (Baptismal candidates: Eden Chatman, Cyan Venketsamy, Noluthando George), plus for any outdoor leisurely sitting around the fire pit or around the camp.

    •    BYO bikes to ride around the camp, scooters for kids to ride on paved areas in front of the kitchen & hall areas.

    •    BYO swimmers for water activities

    •    BYO comfortable walking shoes for short hikes around the camp

    •    BYO warm jacket for evenings.

    •    BYO favourite cards/board games (for those not participating in games/basketball Saturday night or water activities Sabbath after lunch and Sunday). Or just sit and chat around the fire pit area, in the meeting hall, or around the camp.

Also, there are several canoes/kayaks available for use on the lake at camp mornington, feel free to bring your own canoes/kayaks/stand up paddle boards, and life jackets)

Friday night setup:

    •    Arrival / setup time for tents and cabin room allocations is from 4pm (please do not come before, as a large group are leaving by 4pm).

    •    For those in cabins, Please DO NOT settle into a room without Pr. Robert’s permission. We want parents with little kids and couples to take the rooms with queen size beds).

    •    We will have dinner (soup & buns) provided @ 6pm in the kitchen/dining area.

    •    Then opening Sabbath (time of worship together at 7pm)

Weekend schedule:

    •    I have attached a digital copy of the rest of the weekend’s program schedules with plenty of DIY free time in between gatherings/activities (I will have small A5 size-printed copies to give out to everyone on arrival from 4pm).

NOTE:  parents, it is your responsibility to watch out for your own children throughout the weekend, especially around the lake/water area. Make sure they do not wonder off on their own (to always be with someone else/others). There is safety in a group!

RULE: When participating in water activities, ALWAYS WEAR A LIFE JACKET. While camp mornington have life jackets, if you would like to bring your own, please label it with your name on it.

Let’s come with an attitude of “What can I do to bless others this weekend?” If we all give of ourselves, we will then all feel blessed and receive each other with great joy.

We pray that you will all have an amazing weekend of fellowship, fun, food, and faith.
