Stop Lying!

When I was coming up, we used to say “Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!?” If that was true today, from Presidents to Politicians to Pastors to Parents to Players to Prominent People in News, Movies and Social Media – everybody would be burning because we have become a Nation of Lies!  You don’t know what to believe!  You don’t know who to believe!  On every issue, half the people believe one thing and the other half believe something else!  We’re so divided as a Country (especially in politics, policies, policing) . . .  Church (especially in our message, mission) . . . Community (crime, mental wellness, schools).  It’s not just frustrating!  It’s not just foolish!  It’s FATAL!  Yes, Fatal.  Everybody think lying is Funny.  No, it’s FATAL!  Since LYING is Fatal to both speaker and listener, Stop Lying to yourself and others!

Check Your Balance

We want ALL that we can get out of life!  We want to have everything, do everything, go everywhere, and get everything we want.  Yet, James had sobering message to the rich people, “Check Your Balance!”  Financially, you’re rich but Spiritually, you’re bankrupt! Fashionably, you’re dressed to kill, but morally, you’re naked because your clothes have been eaten by moths. Socially, you’re the GOAT, but in God’s eyes, you’re a low-down snake in the grass. Your wealth is corroding. Your vicious ways have caught up with you. Your greed has been condemned. Your heart has been corrupted. Your future is being canceled. What about you?  What about me? What about you? Have you checked your balance lately? Do you think you are better off than you really are? If we dial Heaven’s 1-800 number and inquire about your worth, your balance, your bottom-line, your value, what will the automated voice on say about you? Since our Balance depends upon what we put into life, make some DEPOSITS, and give it your Best! How do we make DEPOSITS into life?
