When we experience pain beyond words, we groan to express it to God who can heal it. The Holy Spirit intercedes for us by groaning our pain to God who understands and can redeem it.

Once we discover our spiritual gifts, we finally feel we have the chance to show Jesus how much we love him. But when Jesus gives us opportunities to love him, it is often an opportunity to love others. That’s not problem with family or friends. However, with people we’d rather avoid and ignore, we often shy away. However, those are the very people Jesus is asking us to selflessly serve. Jesus is far more interested in us loving the world than performing for him.

Our culture is good at creating self-made greatness. It’s the message we hear from every angle of life. We hear it at our college graduation ceremony. We hear it in the corporate world. We even hear it in the Church. “Be great! Distinguish yourself! Rise to the top!” Motivating as this may be, it’s not Jesus’ message. His message is to make yourself the least. Because that’s what he did on the cross.

We learn this week that once we discover how to use our gift, there will be a power working through us that touches the world around us. Being Informed

We all have been informed of good news and bad news, But God wants us to know the best news about following Jesus. As we follow Jesus we have gifts, Spiritual gifts that we have been given freely to help others, serve others, and to give God glory. The gifts have a giver and that is God. There is no other way to receive these gifts, and every spiritual gift has a purpose. One way this gift is different than gifts we give is its free, but also eternally priceless.
