As much as we appreciate the power of the Holy Spirit in the gifts the Spirit gives us, it’s easy to just want that power and not know the person. Once we discover our spiritual gifts, we finally feel we have the chance to show Jesus how much we love him. But when Jesus gives us opportunities to love him, it is often an opportunity to love others. That’s not problem with family or friends. However, with people we’d rather avoid and ignore, we often shy away. However, those are the very people Jesus is asking us to selflessly serve. We all have been informed of good news and bad news, But God wants us to know the best news about following Jesus. As we follow Jesus we have gifts, Spiritual gifts that we have been given freely to help others, serve others, and to give God glory. The gifts have a giver and that is God. There is no other way to receive these gifts, and every spiritual gift has a purpose. One way this gift is different than gifts we give is its free, but also eternally priceless.
