3 Ways to Experiencing God’s Goodness!

Living by faith leads to experiencing God’s goodness. The Psalmist encourages us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” This is ultimately fulfilled in our salvation but not exclusively that. We are given blessing upon blessing in Jesus. But this does not mean life is always easy or miraculous. Living by faith can also lead us into significant pain. This doesn’t mean God isn’t good in those times. He is. So, what does it mean to continue to live by faith and believe in His goodness when life feels like a curse?

How to Handle Fear!

Whenever we talk about our faith growing, we’re not usually referring to the lack of biblical knowledge we have or the lack of theological doctrine we can recite. We’re not even referring to a desire to show up to church more often. What I believe we are referring to is a desire to respond better to the things in life that cause fear. But what if faith, unlike the Fight or Flight responses, is not a response at all? What if fear is, instead, an antidote to fear? What if faith is meant to replace fear so that it no longer controls you or dictates your decisions? This is what we learn from Moses’ story as we see his parents respond to fear with faith and overcome it.

What Will It Take to Reach the Next Generation?

Living by faith is motivated in part by a desire to see the next generation live by that same faith. We all have a perfect picture of what we want that to look like. But, every one of us have blown our parenting and family leadership so many times, it doesn’t take long to get discouraged feeling we’ve disqualified ourselves from passing on a healthy faith legacy. But, as we look at the life of Isaac, Jacob and Joseph, we’ll learn an encouraging lesson: you don’t have to be perfect to pass on your faith.
