God gave us the stories of Jonah and Abraham for a number of reasons. He wanted us to learn from Jonah about the dangers of bigotry, disobedience, and spiritual arrogance, while at the same time He wanted us to learn from Abraham about the beauty of unconditional faith, obedience, and humility. All of that is true, to be sure. But beyond that, their stories are a wink from God. Their stories were meant to serve as subtle commercials that foreshadowed a greater story yet to be told. Their stories were portraits of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In this collection of holiday sermons, Pastor Ronald H. Gann looks at the accounts of Christmas and Easter and expounds upon what each holiday means to those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ.
