42 - The Life-Giver (Part 2)

Luke 8:40-42; 49-56

December 29, 2024 • Pastor Ronald H. Gann • Luke 8:40–56

Waiting is one of the most difficult things to do. And when it comes to unanswered prayer, it’s easy to become disillusion with God over His delays. But God's timetable is not our own. Jairus, the local synagogue ruler in Capernaum who petitioned Jesus to heal his sick 12-year-old daughter, found this out the hard way. As he had done with Mary and Martha over their dying brother Lazarus, Jesus delayed his coming so that an even greater miracle could be performed. And in doing so, Jairus learned that God never acts too early in the affairs of men nor is He too late. And even if by all accounts He appears to be late we accept by faith that He’s still right on time.
