Fake Christians betray their fraudulent faith when they abandon the faith the moment hardship or temptation sets in. True believers, however, endure to the end and finish the race God has marked out for them (Heb. 12:1). And they do so because, in effort to confirm their calling and election are sure (2 Peter 1:10), they add to their faith perseverance.
