Would it scare you if you found out that you encounter zombies every day? Not some "back from the dead" - gruesome monster that walks around aimlessly in the streets but a different kind of "zombie." According to Paul, the dead are walking amongst us. The conclusion of our series, I Love Monsters is about loving the "Zombies" that we encounter daily.

At the root of every disagreement and relational problem is a heart problem. We harbor pain, bitterness, regret, unforgiveness, etc. and our spouse, kids, parents or those who we love the most DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE. The "heart of a monster" is a hardened and calloused over heart.

Our monster of focus in this message is Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. In the story by Robert Stevenson, Jekyll creates a potion that would change him into a different man (Hyde) to feast on evil appetites. At first, Jekyll can control Hyde but then Hyde begins to emerge on his own and there is a fight for control. You can't help but see the similarities between the monster of Jekyll and Hyde and the fight within ourselves between the Spirit and our sinful nature.

Our first "monster" in our study I Love Monsters is the VAMPIRE. Not the pale-skinned, fang-teethed, bat flying dudes from Transylvania but those who suck the life out of us - leaving us emotionally, spiritually and physically drained.
