Gamechanger: The powerful Rock RMS/Subsplash plugin

Rock RMS (Relationship Management System) has built a strong community that is dedicated to customizing and extending its native capabilities. Many Rock clients, however, are looking for a way to integrate their software with the beautiful, easy-to-maintain church mobile apps by Subsplash, as well as Subsplash Media, Giving, and Event Payments.

Rock RMS/Subsplash plugin—why it’s a big deal

Over several years, Subsplash invested in developing a powerful Rock RMS plugin that provides a seamless integration between Rock RMS and your Subsplash church app, content channels, and webs services. Now your church doesn’t have to choose between using Rock’s “person attributes” and a church app by Subsplash. 

Check out these benefits the Rock RMS plugin offers: 

• Simplified single sign-on login process: The plugin connects Rock and Subsplash using single sign-on (SSO), making it easy for your congregation to access all church content without needing multiple logins. Logged-in users can interact and engage with other Subsplash features that are enabled. The users can create personalized content within Rock and seamlessly deliver it through your church’s Subsplash app.
• Better people insights & customization: Rock admins can see which people are logged in and using their Subsplash app and other enabled features, as well as personalize the app experience for them.
• Direct communication: Rock admins can send targeted, rich messaging to the right people directly on their phones. Communications such as push notifications can be authored in Rock, making it easier to broadcast announcements and messages, and reducing the cost of sending SMS messages. The history of these conversations is recorded on both platforms to make it easier to track.

• Messaging Group Sync: The plugin makes it easy to use Subsplash Group Messaging with your current small groups in Rock. For example, with this two-way sync, a Small Group pastor can create a Subsplash Messaging Group directly in Rock, and the group members will be automatically synced between Rock and the Subsplash Platform.
• Powerful content delivery: When you combine Rock’s content channels with the power of Subsplash's native mobile services (media, event calendars, page layouts, push notifications, and custom in-app browsers), you amplify the power of Rock directly on your peoples' phones.
• Giving integration: With the Rock plugin, now you can record donations made through Subsplash Giving through the enabled Financial Gateway functionality within Rock. These records (including important donor details) automatically sync with their associated accounts in Rock.
• Media hosting: Many churches use Subsplash Media for their sermon videos, live stream recordings, podcasts, and other media libraries. The plugin enables your Subsplash content to be imported into Rock’s content channels, websites, and other integrations. It also aggregates Subsplash media analytics with plays from other sources.  
• Event Registration payments: Subsplash’s Event Registration feature allows you to quickly and easily collect non-charitable payments to fund concerts, camps, and other events. With the plugin, your payment forms are seamlessly displayed in the registration workflow. Once the payment is made, it immediately appears in the list of Financial Transactions. 

In addition to the above benefits, Subsplash apps are easier to build and maintain, and offer more stability than custom-coded apps. Subsplash apps are built on a microservice based structure, which means if one service on the Subsplash platform goes down, other services won’t be affected. Most third-party apps are built directly on top of a church’s server, which is not microservice based, so if one service on the server goes down, the app goes down with it.
