45C Summer Mission Day (Click "More" for more information)
Children entering 4th and 5th grades for the 2026–2027 school year are invited to experience what 45C (4th & 5th Grade Christians) is all about during our Summer Mission Day on Thursday, August 13, from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at Birmingham First. The cost is $10 per child.
We’ll begin with one of our favorite annual traditions by filling backpacks with school supplies for our Redford Brightmoor Initiative (RBI) mission partners, helping students begin the new school year well-equipped and ready to learn. After our service project, we’ll enjoy lunch together before heading to Whoa Zone at Bald Mountain for an afternoon of fellowship and adventure on the floating obstacle course!
Participants should bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and a labeled reusable/refillable water bottle. Bathing suits may be worn under clothing or brought along to change into.
Drop-off is at 10:00 a.m. and pick-up is at 4:00 p.m. at the Birmingham First Campus. Only students entering 4th and 5th grades may be dropped off for the event. Younger siblings are welcome to participate if a parent is volunteering to help support the day’s activities.
Registration deadline: Monday, August 10.
We can’t wait to welcome our newest 4th graders into 45C and spend a day serving others, building friendships, and having a blast together!
