Session 1: Influence

As moms, we have the opportunity to influence our children like no one else can. This week, we will consider how we can best leverage our influence in the short time we have with our kids.

Session 2: Model

A huge part of influencing our children has to do with not just what we say but what we do. We need to be intentional about what we are communicating with our actions. Our children need a safe and worthy model of how to navigate this world.

Session 3: Guide

As we explore how we can influence our children, we often bump into our desire for control. We want to control their behavior, their choices, and even their futures. As those of you who have made it into the terrible 2’s can attest, there is very little that we can actually control. This week, we’ll be talking about how we cannot control, but we can guide.

Session 4: Equip

As we fight against the world’s messages and influence on our children, there are some things we can do to help prepare them for what is to come. We need to give our children a way to fight back, a way to stand their ground. We need to equip them with truth. This week, we’ll be talking about how we can do this well.

Session 5: Remain

When we realize how important our roles are as moms, it can be a little overwhelming. We may feel inadequate. The great news is that we were never expected to do this job on our own. This week we’ll talk about how important it is to know and depend on God.

Session 6: Pray

Being a mom is a big deal. We have the opportunity to influence our children like no one else. If we are going to leverage our influence, we cannot do it in our own strength - we must depend on God. A key way that we can know and depend on God is through prayer. This week we’ll explore some ways that we can rely on prayer.
