Episode 37: Do Not Be Afraid – A Christmas Message

December 21, 2020 • Cissie Graham Lynch

Show Notes
Christmas is just a few days away. One tradition that I started last year with my family is a photo album – with real printed photos – of the past year. As I was looking back at the photos from 2020, I felt grateful for more time spent with my family. I know not many people will look back at 2020 the same way. But I am reminded this Christmas week, that if we know God’s Word and have confidence in it, we can be assured that the Lord is with us. Mary’s story tells us this exact same message: Nothing is impossible with God.

Cissie Graham Lynch

We live in a society that tells us that selfishness and self-centeredness are okay so that we can be happy, successful, and feel important. But, the world is full of foolish, evil, and demonic wisdom.   We need to be cautious of what we are looking to and where we are looking for truth and guidance.   This all goes back to knowing what you believe and why you believe it. We will never be enough and find true fulfillment if we aren’t relying on godly wisdom and truth. If you are acting with humility and seeking Heavenly discernment, the lies of this world will have a harder time taking hold on your heart.   Listen to the latest episode of the #FearlessPodcast where I look at the “Lies of I’s”—Wise instead if I’s—and where we should look for fulfillment and wisdom in our lives.   For more resources and additional episodes visit https://cissiegrahamlynch.com.

We live in a world that’s both consumed and fed by the social media algorithm showing all the beautiful things others have and places they go. It makes us think: I need new shoes. I need caffeine. I need to make more money. So, what happens when we don’t find contentment in what we have? What happens when our dissatisfaction grows?   Listen to the latest episode of the #FearlessPodcast where I look at the dangerous “Lies of I’s”—I Need—and a challenge of three practical ways we can practice contentment.   For more resources and additional episodes visit https://cissiegrahamlynch.com.

The Lies of I’s—Do I believe the lie that “I Am Enough?”

Cissie Graham Lynch

“I Am Enough.” This “Lies of I’s” is one that we see everywhere—on t-shirts, coffee cups, and it’s even the title of a children’s book. It’s meant as an encouragement – especially in this world of comparison. But what really happens when we follow this advice and rely solely on ourselves? And, how can we teach our children to find strength through faith instead of how the world defines?   Listen to the latest episode of the #FearlessPodcast where I look at the dangerous “Lies of I’s”—I Am Enough—and where our strength should ultimately come from.   For more resources and additional episodes visit https://cissiegrahamlynch.com.
