March 19, 2021 • Josh Cooley

I hope you’re having a great week! This week’s lesson is entitled “Jerusalem’s Walls Were Rebuilt” (Nehemiah chapters 3-6). It’s the second of our two-part series in the Book of Nehemiah. Many of us are familiar with the story of Nehemiah — how this great leader and man of God accomplished a seemingly impossible task of rebuilding an entire city wall in 52 days amidst great difficulties. But we’re going to look closer at the story (in fun ways, of course!) to see how Nehemiah constantly brought his concerns to the Lord in prayer. It’s a great reminder for kids today that we should be “casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord is a faithful God who can always be trusted, especially because of the great sacrifice he made to reconcile lost sinners to himself through Christ! I encourage you to find a moment this weekend to sit down with your kids and watch the “Kids Online” family worship video. Don’t forget to take some time and talk about it together as a family using the questions below! TALK ABOUT IT - Talk about a time you worked really hard on something. - What did Nehemiah believe about God? - How does Nehemiah show us that He trusted God? - What do you believe about God? - How do you show that you trust God?
