Faith & Work

Plenary 1: Why Work?

April 16, 2021 • Katherine Alsdorf

There is pain, hurt, suffering, and injustice. How are we as Christians to seek the welfare of the spaces where God has sovereignly placed us? What role does your vocation have in God's redemptive plan for our cities? The gospel is good news, not only for your soul, but also for your work. It redeems your work and brings about redemption through your work. It is one of the primary means through which we fellowship with and reflect God. He has designed our labors to bring about good for our families and for those around us. Katherine co-authored Every Good Endeavor with Tim Keller, founded and led Redeemer’s Center for Faith & Work, and serves as senior advisor toRedeemer City to City's Global Faith & Work Initiative. She was also instrumental in helping us launch Triangle Fellows.
