9 Things the Bible Church Can Grow In This Summer
Pastor Jay provides some of his desires for the Bible Church family while he's away on sabbatical. • May 13, 2018 • Jay Thomas
1. The sick and broken are welcomed and brought in, and then set on a new course of redemption through the love and grace of this church. 2. We grow in conspicuous discipleship. 3. The Word of God is revered, not so much as a precious artifact but rather as a mountain that shakes with fire and glory. 4. People forgive each other, readily and fully. 5. People admit they need grace and live in dependence more and more, even when their talent is great and admired. 6. Families are whole and founded upon grace. 7. We pray before we act, we act as we pray, then we pray to dedicate the good work back to God. 8. Theology and Doxology are the legs we walk on, especially in light of the God who will finish his goals of grace and glory with perfection. 9. Our church family grows as a multi-ethnic community that is unified and empowered by Jesus and the glorious gospel.
This Is What It's All About
Philippians 2:1-5 • December 31, 2017 • Ryan McKee
Philippians 2:1–5 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, (ESV)
