Deeper than that, the Holy Spirit wants to give gifts for the benefit of others. We have to submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit and be willing to move according to his leading to touch lives.

We have to respond to his call, come out of the shadows, and be accepted by him. When everyone else may push you away, Jesus will pull you close.
