Just as the angel Gabriel instructed Mary to “Fear not” because she had found favor with God, the same can be said about us. When we face situations that cause us to fear, we can “Fear Not” because God is good and faithful, therefore we can trust him!

Through the Genealogy of Jesus we learn that God in his sovereignty orchestrated the arrival of Jesus Christ into humanity through many unlikely people. This should encourage us because God uses crooked sticks to draw straight lines.

Eternity before Christmas

There is much debate in our world today as to who Jesus is, some see him as a good moral teacher, others as a religious fanatic. Mark, the writer of the text, wants the reader to know Jesus existed long before the foundations of the world and his arrival give us reason for much celebration.
