Though suffering in inevitable in life, we can have joy in the midst of it because we have a living hope in Christ and because God has a purpose in our pain.
Jesus, the Chief Shepherd, ordains undershepherds to shepherd the flock. They are to do this through feeding, leading, and protecting them.
As Christians, when we suffer, we have the opportunity to "glorify God in that name." This means Biblical lamenting to the Lord.
