The Ten Commandments give us a picture of Gods character. He’s faithful and can be trusted. He keeps his covenants and doesn’t hold us responsible for our failure to keep the law.
As God renews His covenant with the Israelites after the worship of the golden calf, He provides a very clear path forward. This path would be would be marked with a clear trust and devotion to Yahweh as their one and only God.
