As we submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we are called to submit to our earthily authorities which includes the government and employers.
Jesus, the Chief Shepherd, ordains undershepherds to shepherd the flock. They are to do this through feeding, leading, and protecting them.
As Christians, when we suffer, we have the opportunity to "glorify God in that name." This means Biblical lamenting to the Lord.
