Intimacy

Intimacy means no secrets and no shame. It is being open, honest, and vulnerable. It is spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. Intimacy is knowing and being known by another person. Intimacy is being naked in every way before each other but it starts with being clothed with the righteousness of Christ so we can stand before God and live out of that security.

Focus

Oneness means attentiveness and focused intentionality. We are so easily distracted from one another, even when we are together. We don't listen or pay attention and it's hurting our marriages.

Unity

Permanence

Andy Stanley says, "You can't unone, one." We have to be completely and unconditionally committed to our covenant with our spouse. In a culture of low commitment, the biblical call of marriage is an incredibly high bar and one that is impossible without God's strength.
