Today we talk about Jesus Marriage Vows to us as His bride. The kisses of Jesus mouth is His covenant marriage vow to us.
Song of Songs 1:1-2: 1 The most amazing song of all, by King Solomon.“
”2 Let him smother me with kisses—his Spirit-kiss divine. So kind are your caresses, I drink them in like the sweetest wine!“ TPT
”2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— For your love is better than wine.“ Song of Solomon 1:2 NKJV
Kisses of His mouth - (strongs H6284) His spoken word - His covenant marriage vow- what he has promised us as His bride
Wine in this verse represents the pleasures of this world- riches, fame, man’s approval, success
Deuteronomy 32:1-2. KJV ”Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender herb, And as the showers upon the grass:“
Doctrine: H3948: to marry- to receive, gather, carry, buy
What is His covenant marriage vow to us?
Hebrews 8:6, 10-12 NLT
”6 But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. 10 But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 11 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already. 12 And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”“
His marriage vow produces the fruit of His life in us
Romans 7:4 NKJV ”Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.“
Hosea 2:16, 19-20 NLT ”16 When that day comes,” says the Lord, “you will call me ‘my husband’ instead of ‘my master.’ 19 I will make you my wife forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion. 20 I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the Lord.“
